SHORTAGE OF NON-RENEWABLE SOURCES OF ENERGY

This is 21st century and the most necessary thing for a growing economy like India and other developing countries is power.

In almost all developing countries, people use power being generated from non-renewable sources of energy, like coal and other coal based products.

But, now there is an acute shortage of coal and other similar sources of energy. Hence, power projects run by the governments have been stalled, since they are not in a position to import coal from other countries.

There is lot of de-forestation going on in all countries which have adversely affected the production of coal based power.

We need to conserve our forests, so that there is no adverse effect on the environment and economy.

There is a need to develop renewable sources of energy or find alternatives for generation of power from wind, solar, bio-degradable wastes.

There are few interesting ideas that are being projected in the web, where other alternative sources of generation of free energy or electricity are available.

Please check out the following link to have an idea about the generation of free energy or electrcity from home that is mobile, can be used to power any appliance.

This way the carbon foot print could also be reduced.

PLEASE VISIT THE BELOW LINK TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE IDEA OF GENERATION OF FREE ELECTRICITY IN OUR HOUSE AND THIS MAY WELL BE WORTH TRYING:

Please give your feedback regarding the above idea.

Summer in India

Its January end in 2012  and already there are glimpses of the weather changing to being hot as summer is approaching.

It has been a rather cold winter here in India.
Perhaps there is some noticeable change in the weather pattern in India.

Perhaps, we need to have an eye on the changing weather patterns due to global warming.

Lets see how hot it will be this summer…….

Summer

There seems to be a 2 degree rise in temperature this summer early march which is unusual, probably the effects of global warming and deforestation.Every thing appears to be dry.

Tigers agony

The main reason behind the species destruction points to the ecosystem ans its destruction through human encroachment for land.In the whole of earth the Asian tigers are found only in India. So its very necessary that the TIGER has to be protected. There is lot deforestation going on in the outskirts of cities falling in the zone of forests and natural reserves. So eventually when there is scarcity of land people will try to encroach into the forest land.

The forest is also native to tribes who for long been dependent on the forest.Their livestock and animals have been killed by tigers since there is scarcity of food for the Tigers. So the people are also targeting Tigers that attack them. The species on which tiger as a carnivore feeds has to be protected for the TIGERS to be protected.

Hence habitat conservation has to be there for good results in saving the Tiger ans other species.

=1411

The 1411 indicates the number of tigers living in the wild in India. They are in protected as well as natural habitats.During the last century there were an estimated 40000 tigers in India. But to demand for Tiger skin and parts from china they have been poached. Now the figure is at a dismal 1411.Its the time to act fast, otherwise the national animal of India would become extinct. The government has failed in monitoring or protecting the tiger.A tigress gives birth to a couple of cubs and when there is poaching and habitat destruction there is a fear of loosing them when they are young. The task force put up by the government is not equipped enough technologically or armed properly to track the tigers and the poachers.Human expansion in the forests is also a cause for concern as the habitat of other wild life is destroyed and the food for the tiger is scarce. This is the time to act.

So please act fast, spread the word…….. Read the rest of this entry »
