A tree takes thousands of years to grow, so to cut a tree when it is fully grown is an absolute crime.In africa where there are dense rain forests and in south america in BRAZIL, trees have been cut to grow crops, logging to provide wood and expansion of human civilization into forests have resulted in vast places of forests being cleared.
This has resulted in various animal species of rainforest which are unique to it , get extinct. Severe logging has made very old trees get uprooted.
